A #MeToo Survivors March is set to take place Sunday morning in Hollywood.
The march, which will begin at Hollywood Boulevard and North Highland Avenue at 10 a.m., will be led by Tarana Burke, the creator of the viral hashtag used by women to share their personal experiences with sexual harassment or sexual assault.
The hashtag and subsequent movement was created by Burke last month on the heels of reports of alleged sexual abuse and sexual harassment perpetrated by disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
"On Nov. 12, we will come together and stand with survivors of sexual assault! The #MeTooMarch coalition is working hard to ensure that a wide range of issues are represented," read a GoFundMepage for the event. "Please reach out if you have a perspective that you'd like to see addressed, or if you know of an organization we should be in contact with."
Burke, writer and commentator Jasmyne Cannick, AF3IRM national chairperson Ivy Quicho and Jayda Rasberry, organizing director for Dignity and Power Now, are slated to speak at the gathering.
