Dear Resister,
We know that even in the face of great strife and challenge—attacks on bodily autonomy, LGBTQ+ rights, a hyper-militarized border, billions of dollars sent to fuel the Israeli war machine, devastating climate change, and more travesties—grassroots movements never let up in their commitment for a better world no matter who sits in the halls of government, and neither should we.
Red or Blue, the crises of capitalism continue no matter who is in office. At Resist, we support our brave grantees on the frontlines, tirelessly organizing for a better world. They have the vision, the heart, and the tools to co-create a world for the many, and not just the few.
It is because of our grantees’ vision and relentless commitment to liberation that Resist has redesigned our grant redistribution program.
This year, we awarded thirty grassroots groups with $10,000 grants (up from the usual $4,000) in no strings attached funding.

Resist does not have an endowment or invest our money in the stock market. We ensure all the money that comes in, immediately goes out to support our brave grantees moving us towards liberation for all.

Now, more than ever, we need YOU, and so do our movements for justice and liberation. While many are turning to funnel money into the pockets of politicians, we know that real change occurs on the frontlines and not in the halls of power.
Below you can read about two of our recent Grantees who are building international solidarity, making alternatives to capitalism real, and fighting the U.S. war machine. Help them continue to make our world accessible for ALL.

Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera works to raise awareness about the conditions of social and economic injustice along the Texas/Mexico border. They support community-driven resistance to injustice through transnational solidarity, the arts, and fair trade. When members of working families requested aid to provide essential school supplies to the children of maquiladora workers, they responded by raising $3,253 to support over 200 young students.
As an alternative to capitalist means of production and distribution that exploit rather than support grassroots artisans, Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera held their 20th Women and Fair Trade Festival, where they brought together artisan cooperatives from across borders and welcomed 9 additional artisan cooperatives from Mexico, Palestine, Guatemala, Ecuador, India, and the United States.
Austin Tan Cerca de la Frontera will continue advocating for bottom-up justice, transnational solidarity, and "un mundo donde quepan muchos mundos" ("a world where many worlds fit”), will you join them?
BAYAN USA builds international solidarity among all peoples in the U.S. along the lines of an anti-imperialist united front. Last month, they co-led and joined over 600 protestors in San Diego demanding an end to the US-led Rim of the Pacific Exercise (RIMPAC), the largest maritime war exercises in the world. One of the protestors explained one of the many reasons they want RIMPAC canceled, “The Army, specifically the 25th IB unit in Wahiawā, deploys military personnel to train the Armed Forces of the Philippines in counterinsurgency tactics that harass and kill peasant farmers and workers. For generations, they have desecrated the land, 20,000 acres of which they paid only $1 to for 65 years.”
BAYAN USA won’t stop going head-to-head with the U.S. imperial war machine. Join in the fight with them today!
