This year's first cohort of Urgent Action Fund recipients represent a powerful cross-section of grassroots organizing, mutual aid, political education, community care, and movement-building. While each organization serves a unique constituency and purpose, together they demonstrate the interconnected nature of struggles for justice and liberation.
Each organization received $5,000 through redistribution of funding from our donors, an increase of $1,000 from previous cycles.

Together, these organizations reflect what becomes possible when resources are placed directly in the hands of communities. From immigrant justice and reproductive freedom to youth leadership, mutual aid, and international solidarity, these recipients are meeting urgent needs while building the long-term infrastructure necessary for collective liberation.
The Urgent Action Fund exists to support exactly this kind of work: community-rooted, movement-driven, and responsive to the realities people face every day. By redistributing resources to grassroots organizations, we are investing not only in individual projects, but in the networks of care, resistance, and power-building that sustain our movements.
Together, these investments remind us that lasting change does not begin with institutions—it begins with people who know their communities, understand their needs, and are already building the solutions. Resist is proud to stand alongside those leaders, trusting communities to determine what they need and equipping them with the resources to act.
